Katie and Logan met in December of 2009 at an open mic night at Tiffany Tavern in Old Town, Alexandria, VA, and there were sparks from day one! At that time, Logan was working on recording his first album, “Problems”. After performing together at several open mic nights (and going on several dates), Logan pulled Katie in to record an acoustic version of his song “Tests of Time” that features their vocal harmonies. Now, Katie and Logan are excitedly awaiting their own wedding, which is planned for June 23rd of this year!
Since their meeting, the two have been making a name for themselves at weddings, private and corporate events, restaurants, and vineyards throughout the Northern Virginia and D.C. Area. Other events they have performed at include “Pickin’ for Parkinson’s” Fundraiser in Elkin, NC, “Tidewater Youth Services Foundation” Social & Silent Auction in Virginia Beach, VA, and “Fashion’s Night Out” in New York City.
Aside from performing in the duo with Logan, Katie Ribik owns a music education company called Accelerando Music, LLC. Accelerando offers lessons, in-home music classes for playgroups, and birthday parties.
Logan Kraft is mechanical engineer by day and a Washington D.C. based singer/songwriter by night. His band, The Logan Kraft Band, of which Katie is also a member, was formed while recording his album “Problems”. The band performs Logan’s original music at venues throughout the Washington D.C. area. “Problems” was released in August of 2010 and is now available for purchase on iTunes.
